Internships
White Flag Projects has internship opportunities beginning in September 2009 available to applicants pursuing or having recently received undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fine arts or art history.
White Flag Projects interns are deeply involved in every aspect of a major alternative art gallery's inner workings. Our interns are an integral part of the team that assists in the production, installation, and documentation of exhibits and important communication with visitors. Interns may also expect to assist visiting artists and curators, and participate in regular gallery activities including research, gallery maintenance, promotions and clerical tasks.
Applicants should have solid foundations in 20th and 21st century art practices. Successful applicants will also possess strong social skills as well as competent writing and computer skills.
Internships at White Flag Projects are unpaid. White Flag Projects can work closely with student's advisors to provide academic credit for their work. Interns are required to work up to 5 hours per day 2 days per week in addition to occasional evenings.
Applicants should email a letter of inquiry and resume to: info@whiteflagprojects.org. Please include the words 'Internship Application' in the subject line. Interviews will be scheduled for all qualified applicants.
Student Visits
White Flag Projects invites student groups from St. Louis-area schools to visit the gallery and conduct discussions about our exhibitions. White Flag staff members are available to answer questions and provide further information about our exhibitions, to complement these discussions. To schedule a class visit, please contact Jessica Baran at 314.531.3442 or jb@whiteflagprojects.org.
